I have been a member of Solid Body's Boot Camp class since the end of January, 2009. I had been working out for 20+ years as a member in a gym before that. I find that I typically lack self-motivation due to boredom with my usual routine at the gym. When a friend suggested the Solid Body Fitness Boot Camp class, I suspected it would be just what I needed to motivate me. After attending the trial session, I was very impressed by the class. Before I started at Solid Body Fitness my health was headed in the wrong direction. I have always been going to the gym and working out on my own or with a personal trainer. After I had my baby, it became very important me to take the time to keep up my work out routine and try to get back into the shape I was in before I was pregnant.
I started coming to Solid Body Fitness 6 weeks after I had the baby and knew Jay and Daniela would be the ones to get me to where I wanted to be. There were days when I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the workout, but with their encouragement, I always got through.
Over the months, I have not only lost weight and body fat, I'm back to where I was months before I was pregnant, can see myself getting firmer and tighter, and can feel how much stronger I have gotten. The notebook that Jay and Daniela use to track progress is a great way to see your results on paper, not just a scale.
Although the workouts are sometimes grueling, I enjoy every second of them and feel great once they're over! Its a great environment to train in - you get the one-on-one focus of the trainers and the camaraderie of a group at the same time.

A few months ago I decide that it was time to change my life and start living a healthier life-style. I had been a smoker on and off for years and had made up my mind to quit for good this time. Weight gain had always been an issue while trying to quit, so this time I decided to try dieting and exercising first.
I joined Solid Body Fit at the beginning of May and two weeks later quit smoking. To my surprise, I ran and completed a 5K road race just two weeks later. Jason and Daniela gave me the personal encouragement that you cannot find at your average local gym. Their workouts are always different and challenging and always about positive motivation.

It took me years to finally get a membership to a gym, never mind hiring a personal trainer. I have always been skeptical about getting a personal trainer- stories of how mean and unsympathetic they are, are they going to badger me or somehow find me and drag me to the gym if I don't show up for a few sessions. Am I going to dread it each time I have an appointment? All I can say is...not with Jay. After about a year at the gym just doing the treadmill and weights, I started going to spinning class once a week, hoping to drop some weight and lose some inches that I couldn't seem to lose. When I still didn't have the results I wanted, I spoke with Jay's business partner at the time and originally signed up for 8 sessions (he tried his best to get me to sign up for more, but hey, I said I was skeptical). He said that this guy Jay would be my trainer, and that I was going to really enjoy working with him and how nice he was, etc... Yeah, right—I'll be the judge of that.
I was still skeptical when I first met Jay. He wanted to weigh me, I didn't want to be weighed. He wanted to check my BMI, I didn't want to do that. Since it was my first session, he wanted to do a series of exercises to see what kind of condition I was in, I didn't want to do that either. Needless to say, I did all those things because Jay was so nice about it and explained that he had to in order to properly train me and to monitor my progress. And no, he did not tell me how much I weighed!
After the initial 8 sessions I signed up for the full 24 sessions. I saw results very quickly and friends, family, and co-workers did as well. I've had many compliments come my way. Jay's been training me for about 14 months now and I'm probably in the best condition I've ever been in. I went back to spinning class a couple of months ago and didn't even break a sweat. Jay does not fit any stereotypes that we all have of the "personal trainer". I look forward to my sessions with Jay—he is very personable and is genuinely interested in you as a person in addition to being a client. Jay...thank you!

I haven't ever truly enjoyed working out, I am by no means a gym rat, but working with Jason is surprisingly pleasant. Receiving personal attention, a tailored routine, and firm support is a HUGE help for someone whose largest goal is for my stomach to not hang over my belt!

One of the best things I have ever done is to hire Jay Zagami as my personal Trainer. Although I have been working in the fitness industry since 1987, Teaching aerobic classes and working out with weights: what happened to my body last summer was scary!! Hitting middle age seemed to open the floodgates to the aging process. I no longer had a waist, and pretty much felt like the rest of my body had gone south as well!! I decided I'd had enough and was going to get my body back. That's when I signed up for 8 personal training sessions, I knew he was an "elite" trainer, and in just a few weeks I was seeing the results I so wanted. Here I am several sessions later, looking and feeling better than I did when I was 25! I turned 47 years old recently, and feel proud to spend this summer in a bikini, and not "hiding" in my usual one-piece swimsuit.
I've know a lot of trainers in my life, all of which are good but trust me Jay Zagami is a "Hidden Jewel"! I always joke with him, that he's not a personal trainer - he's a personal training God.
